Add an AWS Account

1. From the left pane (navigation menu), select Settings. The Settings page is displayed.

2. Click Integrations. The Account page is displayed.

3. Select the + Add button to create/connect to the AWS account.

4. From the list of available cloud providers, select aws.

5. Enter the required information in the following fields.

Field

Description

Account Name

Enter the integration name that you want to manage in Cloudverse. The value must be unique.

Stack Name

Enter the stack name to identify a particular stack from a list of stacks in the AWS CloudFormation.

  1. Click Connect via AWS Console to connect through AWS Console. You will be redirected to the AWS CloudFormation page.

a. Enter your IAM account credentials to log in. The AWS Cloud Formation page is displayed.

b. Verify the access permissions you are about to assign to the CloudVerse role using the Json file in the template URL.

c. Select the I acknowledge the AWS CloudFormation might create IAM resources checkbox.

d. Navigate back to the CloudVerse application page. After a brief interval, you can notice the status update once the integration is ready.

  1. . Alternatively, you can click the More Connections Options drop-down menu and click Connect via AWS Access Token to connect using the access key and password. When you click this option, you are prompted to enter Access Key ID and Secret Access Key to connect instead of Stack Name.

a. Enter the access Key ID and then paste the secret access key generated in the AWS IAM console.

b. Click Connect via AWS Access Token. Once the credentials are validated, the AWS cloud account is added to the accounts grid. You can notice the Initializing status under the Status column and change to Active after some time.
